Technical Information

This panel is a more sustainable substitute for the existing and energy intensive products (e.g., glass derived fiberglass, rock wool, EPS foam, polymeric plastic boards).
Wool can absorb and release moisture without degradation or significant loss of thermal resistance. In addition these panels are designed to provide enhanced fire resistance.

Technical Data:

Insulating properties and fire ratings have been tested by an independent institute (FIW):

k = 0.05 W/mK

R 19 (WEKA Block to fill stud walls or at exterior of walls)
R 4 (to cover existing walls)

Thermal capacity: 0.9÷1.0 kJ/(kg°K).

Fire rating B - sheep's wool is naturally fire resistant

INSTALLATION - WEKA VIDEO

WEKA is installed in existing homes to be retrofitted and in new buildings. The WEKA panel replaces both the insulation and dry walls in new buildings.

In existing homes the WEKA panel is attached directly onto the existing wall, no need to tear down the existing dry wall.

WEKA panels do not need an additional dry wall as a final cover. An example for a final wall panel finish could be the following: Final finish

Installing R 4 - Bricks Walls, Basements and Dry Walls

An existing brick, concrete or dry wall can be covered with WEKA panels. WEKA is glued on to the wall like tiles using lime.
